Ottawa Future Starts U10 Points Race as of June 1st 2015

Ardin Lim, Champion
Ibrahim Higazy, Finalist
Rideau 3*** event February 20-22
We are well into spring and the U10 Future Stars Tour has seen 5 events so far this season.  This tour, which combines boys and girls, is designed for players on a competitive pathway and features some of the best players from Ottawa, Montreal and Gatineau.  The ranking system awards players based on a combination of participation and results, with the Top 10 at the end of the season receiving prizes for their efforts.
Other than the Tour, there is a monthly Sportsmanship Award which is given to a player who shows exemplary sportsmanship and kindness towards others.  It is based on feedback the OTA receives from local coaches and tournament directors, who see the players in action and are in charge of managing their courts and matches.  We are proud to award Ardin Lim the Sportsmanship of the Month award for the month of May.  Ardin has shown tournament directors that he is an commendable competitor, always making the appropriate line calls and showing respect for his opponents by applauding their good shots.  The OTA will be mailing him the monthly mystery prize to him shortly.  See below for the U10 Future Stars standings as of June 1st.
