Junior News
There were over 90 entrees in both the 3*** Regional Competitive Tournament at the Rideau Tennis Club and the Easter Tournament at the OAC. Many players from Ottawa, Quebec and even a few from Toronto participated; as you can see, there is increasing collaboration from across the region. It's been a very good start to the season!There are many events coming up beginning in May, as we have at least one 3*** Regional Competitive Tournament every weekend until September and many Rogers Rookie Tour events throughout the spring and summer as well. The schedule will be posted at www.ncta.ca.
We have an expanded the U10 Future Stars Tour schedule this season with over 20 events on schedule. 10 participants battled it out at Rideau in February and 15 participants played at OAC over the Easter weekend. There is $1,200 in prizes being offered for players who finish in the top 10 in rankings at the end of the season as well as a Babolat sweatshirt for any player who participates in an event!
